This work presents a mountain form built through dense layers of ink, where dark masses are interrupted by luminous bands of color. Softly spreading ink establishes weight and depth, while thin, winding lines of vegetation trace their way across the surface like veins or quiet pathways.

Rather than describing a specific landscape, the composition focuses on rhythm and accumulation. The contrast between heavy ink and delicate color suggests time moving slowly through terrain—erosion, growth, and renewal unfolding together.

Painted on hanji, the absorbent paper allows ink to settle unevenly, creating organic textures and subtle tonal shifts. Color appears embedded within the ink layers, reinforcing the sensibility of sumukhwa, where material behavior and the passage of time become inseparable from the image itself.
